I stayed at a beautifully refurbished old train station called Pensao Destino for a couple of nights. The small, cozy rooms were lovingly decorated and had a cleverly placed mirror to make them appear bigger. The air conditioning worked well during the hot weather. The shared living and dining space, as well as the kitchen, provided the opportunity to meet other guests. The breakfast, prepared by one of the friendly staff members, was fantastic with fresh bread, fruit, cake, and delicious jams. Anna, who was there during our stay, was extremely nice and gave us helpful tips for restaurants and swimming spots.
Recommend this hotel.

What a gem of a place! the converted train station is a beautifully restored hotel. You can rent a room or the whole building, and the kitchen and living room are shared with friends or family. Excellent breakfast with fresh local produce. Worth a stay to support the restoration of heritage. Can't wait to go back soon!
Felt like visiting family, no complaints at all.

What a great way to ring in the new year! The renovated train station was the perfect backdrop to this unique experience. The location was unbeatable, set in nature, away from the bustle of the city. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and the decor was charming. It was such a pleasant surprise to find a fully equipped kitchen, which made preparing meals a breeze. the warm hospitality offered by the owner made the stay even more special.
To be fair, the location is definitely remote, and it's necessary to have a car to get around. However, the hotel's website provided clear information on the location, so this wasn't a surprise.

A hidden gem! We stayed here for New Year and it was a wonderful experience. the hotel is beautifully restored, with unique character and charm. the breakfast spread was amazing, with freshly baked bread and pastries, yogurt and fruit. the friendly owner and her dog made the stay even more special. the location is ideal for exploring the surrounding attractions, with easy access to nearby lakes and Castelo de Vide.
The location is a bit secluded, so it may not be ideal for those without their own transportation. this is also part of the charm as it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby towns.

Staying in a converted old railway station adds a unique charm to this budget-friendly lodging. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed the lovely painted tiles and quiet remote location. the homemade breakfast with fresh bread, fruit, and delicious jam was a highlight. Air conditioning kept our room comfortable and the communal kitchen had everything we needed, including tea and coffee. Rooms were clean with lots of natural light and the bathrooms had clever touches to make them feel more spacious.
Finding the location in the dark could be difficult and it may be necessary to plan ahead for public transportation access.
